SQ878 was delayed. it took off at 1.10pm and touched down only at 5.10pm, approximately 40min late if i'm not wrong. the poor driver was desperately looking for us :x it took us an hour to reach our hotel at han zhong jie 漢中街 because of the heavy traffic.

left for dinner at a bbq/hotpot place over at xi men ding. food was so-so :x we spent most of our time hogging the ice-cream counters.

nothing much took place since it was already quite late when we arrived at xmd. went back to the hotel to catch the 11pm show, then left for carrefour nearby to get junkfood.


THE BIG DAY! mum and sis arrived at the hotel when we were about to leave. left for gqs by cab at 7.30am. saw the people we wanted to see (refer to wretch for more). went back to the hotel at 11am and left for xmd for lunch at pasta bar. my pasta was covered with basil and it sucked. shopped around till 4pm. everyone seemed to have lots to buy, except me :(

met peixuan at 5pm and she brought us to have kenting steak 墾丁牛排 :) the serving was HUGE. i was probably the only one who couldn't finish my food. spotted an EC at the table beside us :D walked around with peixuan and she treated us to 青蛙下蛋! thank you!

left for gqs at 7pm. the four of us spent 4 hours waiting but it was all worth it (refer to wretch for more). reached hotel at 1.10am all tired and ready to conk out anytime.


we went to taichung 台中. the driver whom fetched us from the AP (mr lee) arrived at 8am. we all sat in a 藝人專車 and i sat at where fanweiqi always sits. reached san yu at around 9.45am and we were given time to walk around. it's a street with shops by the roadside. they have fruits, noodle stores, furniture shops, goodies shops etc.

next stop was confucius temple 孔廟. the four of us stood outside to camwhore while mum, sis & kar's mum went in to explore. after that was some naturalist centre that was sooo boring we left after half an hour instead of the initial 1hour.

lunch at a certain fishball place was so-so only. kar wanted beef noodles but none of the shops selling them was open. next up was jing ming yi jie 精明一街. another boring place that is supposed well-known for its shopping. mr lee then drove us to MSN to collect zink's caps.

feng jia yeshi 逢甲夜市 at 4plus. finally somewhere interesting :) tried bloody pig's cake (HAHA WHAT A NAME -.-) 豬血糕 and it was AWFUL. we were all having second thoughts about it but we still bought a stick to share. it's glutinous rice in blood (i suppose) with a layer of peanut powder and some garnish on the outside. it tastes a lil like popiah but still yucky. don't ever try it :x

reached hotel at 9.30pm after shopping for sun biscuits & pineapple tarts back in taipei. rushed down to SB only to come back looking sad (the rest weren't but i was!). went back to xmd to get supper.


ANOTHER BIG DAY :) left for gqs at 7.30am and the stupid cab driver drove us to the wrong place. it was obviously his fault yet he made it seemed like it was ours. oh please! -.-

another happy day (refer to wretch for more)! we spotted XIAOGUI around too! :) had lunch at shanghai tan 上海灘. we were all famished so we just settled our lunch opposite gqs itself.

train-ed down to taipei main station because sammie wanted to get her stuffs at 新光三越. shopped around the streets nearby and i got my earpiece! it was a steal :) luckily i didn't get them here in SG because i got them at half the price in taiwan!

back to our favourite hangout place. yes, xmd. back to hotel to rest. we were all suffering from lack of sleep although it's only the forth day. went to adidas before that to get stuffs for someone. turned out to be a huge disappointment because their range was as pathetic as SG's.

back to gqs at 8.10pm. i totally adore that place (refer to wretch for more)! the happy souls left and arrived at the hotel at 11.30pm (no more late nights out huh!)


we took a train down to taipei zoo. the entrance fee was only NT30 (approximately SGD$1.50). cheap like dirt huh? had lunch at macs before touring around. we all went mad over the chibi maruko toys they had.

the zoo was soooo huge we got restless halfway. we weren't even done with it when we left. took a train down to jian tan 劍潭 then a free shuttle service to miramar shopping mall 美麗華. the four of us had a ferris wheel cabin to ourselves. left for shihlin 士林 when we're done. food was still as awful as before (except the XXL chicken cutlet, yumyum). shopped around the shopping area. i love the puppies there! can i have one too? :)


had breakfast at the hotel before heading out for some fun all by ourselves (zink, sammie & me). i enjoyed our threesome moments <3 headed to jian guo bei lu 建國北路. talked to three random koreans who happened to be nearby. settled our lunch at 7-11 and finally left at 2.15pm. next stop was 忠孝復興.

i was looking at random people passing by when i spotted this motorcyclist staring at us, so i stared back. couldn't see his face properly because he wore a mask. when he walked over, i recognised him straightaway. he was DD! HAHA. then came e.shit.

me to them: eh look. it's e.shit.
sammie: e!
e.shit: 你們在這裡幹嘛？
me: 就閒逛啊。
sammie: XXXXX
e.shit: -mumbled- 哦等一下有空嗎? -continued mumbling-
me: HUH?
e.shit: jdfhshfdfhsifsdjfisjf
me: 我聽不懂啦！-walked off-

i totally do not understand turtle language :/ left a note for DD then went to get piping hot custard cakes. damn shiok! we had FOUR each and we almost died eating them. zink bought a box of 12 to share so we had to finish everything on the spot.

took the train to tamshui 淡水 to meet mum, sis, kar and her mum. it was a loooong train ride there and we had another looooong bus ride to fisherman's wharf 漁人碼頭. walked round, bought some fingerfood then took the bus back to the train station. walked to 淡水老街. ate, played, shopped then back to xmd by train. i love taking the train 捷運. nobody sits on the priority seats and everyone queues up to get into the train or onto the escalator. just look at us Singaporeans! what the hell are we doing man? tsk!

walked around xi men hong lou 西門紅樓 (just opposite xmd) before heading back.


it was christmas day as well as kar & her mum's birthdays. bought breakfast from 85C since we had to collect the cake from there as well. have you tried having whipped cream in your ham & cheese sandwiches? the three of us did. YUCK.

went down to 308 to give them a surprise. we had to re-enact the situation cos kar's mum wanted to capture the scene on DV. HAHA it was so awkward!

caught twilight for the 2nd time! the movie ticket was overpriced imo. it was close to SGD$12! we could have watched 2 movies with that money but well, it's just for an experience. i slept through half the movie :x had our late lunch at ahzhong mian xian 阿忠麵線. it's really shiok to have a bowl of hot stuff during winter.

took a train down to wu fen pu 五分埔 at hou shan bei 後山卑. it's almost like bugis street but we still left empty-handed because the shops were all selling winter wear. train-ed back to taipei main station. shopped around 新光三越 before heading to tong yi yuan qi guan 統一元氣館 for PEPPER LUNCH! :) new world centre was next. it's an underground shopping mall but with nothing interesting :x

back to hotel then the three of us left for carrefour on our own :)


woke up relatively late since there was nothing much to look forward to. the three of us dated mum & sis out for sushi lunch at sushi express 爭鮮. it was NT30 for every plate. they don't have coloured plates like we do, so it's pretty reasonable, but the variety, in my opinion, was a lil pathetic.

our days were starting to get more boring with nowhere to go :( shopped around xmd then went back to rest (lazybones :D). went downstairs to post some stuffs to USA. the service was soooo slow i got a lil pissed. can't they work a tad faster? :x our plan was to head to DS but since we spent so much time at the post office, we decided to give it a miss.

had fen yuan 粉圓 then to xmd AGAIN >< went back then back to xmd for dinner. i should have counted the number of times we stepped into xmd! HAHA xD decided on MOS, and the waiter thought we couldn't read chinese and asked if we needed an english menu instead. we can read okay! don't look down on us! walked passed a random uniform shop and we decided to ask about the uniform that zink's friends wanted her to get. walked out and we just stood outside for no reason.

i happened to look into the shop again and i saw a familiar face. when i turned to look at the person beside him, I HAD A SHOCK OF MY LIFE. i just hafta say that luck was on MY side that day :D :D :D sammie spotted wzq shortly after that.


left for gqs in the morning. we took a train there this time round since we all love taking it :) was kinda worried when we didn't see anyone. turned out we were too early cos we reached like around... 730am? phew (refer to wretch for more)! saw a member from circus but idk his name :x

went back to the hotel. i don't remember what we did after that. went back to gqs at night. it was our last day visiting that lovely place :( it turned out to be a much more enjoyable day as compared to the previous days. and oh, we saw HANNAH! she's soooo pretty!

decided to pack dinner from dong qu 東區. spotted a lot of familiar faces there; bbt xiaojie, 7bang xiaolu, BIH elmo, hsh tangguo, ex-bbt guagua.


the three of us (kar ditched us and went MIA -.-) went to 忠孝復興. saw 方大同，何維健 (fellow Singaporean, yay!)，郭采潔. we had lunch at a noodle shop nearby and i felt so cheated. sammie and i ordered 牛肉湯面 thinking that it was beef noodles. we didn't see any beef so i thought the person probably gave us the wrong orders. we asked and she said, "沒錯，這就是牛肉湯面。紅燒牛肉面才有牛肉塊." -_____-

went back and took a NAP. we have NO life! got up just in time to go down to SB. it was tough saying goodbye :( (refer to wretch for more) we were supposed to ask him how to get to the train station, but we forgot all about it.

asked around and just walked randomly to try our luck. this group of girls suggested we follow them since they were heading to the train station as well :) nice people. we decided to stop by eslite 誠品 to look for twilight & harry (i just typed happy -.-) potter books.


had breakfast at the lobby and we did nothing until 1.30pm when we decided to go down to taipei city hall 市政府. we went to their eslite to continue our search. headed over to taipei 101 and finally had our late lunch at newyork newyork 紐約紐約 (not the restaurant we have in SG!). the macs there had a sign that says NO DOGS and this woman happily allowed her two dogs (one of which is a golden retriever :D) into the restaurant. wth?!

figured our way back to the train station (the few days in taiwan made us more street-smart!). we saw XC walking into the train at guo fu ji nian guan station 國父紀念館 :) we were happy souls! i spotted FD when we left ximen station. overheard someone mentioning xiao tian so we walked out to see what was going on. it was ETHAN RUAN 阮經天, omg! another lucky day!


we went to chengchi university 政大 to look for tingting (not me, duh!) we managed to get there by train & bus. we're getting smarter :) she brought us to her place which was so cosy we didn't want to leave (it was raining btw). walked around her school then she brought us to have sichuan food.

took a bus down to xin dian 新店, then trained down to da ping lin 大坪林 and finally a cab to ZJ. we told the security guard we were there to enquire about their admission and he believed us -.- he even brought us to the office to see their 主任 >< i love it cos the people there are all so good-looking :D

we went back to 敦化's eslite. settled our dinner at dong qu then headed to 5 music ５大唱片 since zink wanted to see derrick hoh (Singaporeans unite, ohyay!) derrick hoh's really nice & funny.

ended our day by going to XMD, oops!


another half a day spent at 忠孝復興. it was FREEZING COLD that day. saw 2 ulu yet familiar faces :x back to ximen then hotel then to xmd for hot shot!

i was tying my shoelaces when i heard 'press to start'. i ignored it and then i saw the button on the game machine flashing, so i decided to try my luck and the next thing i know, the bballs came rolling down. we ended up playing 12 rounds of hot shot FOR FREE. lucky us!

dinner at sushi express, bought some snacks for countdown and we went back to the hotel before 6.30pm to avoid crowds. heard fireworks so sammie and i rushed down but we still missed it, tsk. we shared vodka and my face & ears were burning. i suppose that was sufficient to keep me warm for the night.


breakfast at 9.40am, left the hotel for lunch at sushi express, carrefour to get snacks & drinks to bring back, packed our luggages.

went back to xmd at 6pm for dinner at san shang qiao fu 三商巧福. had so-so beef noodles :x packed red-bean soup (i love the QQ balls inside!).

boring 2nd last day :(


LAST DAY IN TAIWAN :'(

had our last porridge meal at the lobby in the morning, then went up to continue packing. we lugged the weighting scale up to our room and played it with :x checked out at 12pm and then slacked at the lobby since we had nothing to do.

packed macs back to the hotel then our driver came to pick us up at 2.40pm. we took a private car this time round. the driver dropped zink and sammie off at T1 before heading to T2.

i feel BORED without zink and sammie around. i wished i took the same flight back with them because i knew i won't be treated as invisible with them around. sat alone, PHEW :)
