dug out the packet of (edible) pearls i bought from tw last year. decided to try cooking them so as not to waste my NT25. i know it's not a lot of money, but since i'm free, why not right? :)


reminds me of the wangzai milkballs that i love :D
it says to cook till the water boils, then transfer to a rice cooker to continue cooking for 1h. i didn't follow this part, so i left it on low heat for 1h, then simmered for 1h.

the whole process took me 2 whole hours! thankfully the pearls turned out to be quite tasty :) we put pearls in all kinds of drinks; iced-honey, ribena & the usual milk tea.

a moment ago we were counting down from 250+, and we're down to 40+ now. i'm getting really excited. i hope it'll never end.
